ON CRAFTSMANSHIP. Has craftsmanship lost it's appeal? No—it’s simply moved from the tactile to the digital. (Digital = late 15th century: from Latin digitalis, from digitus ‘finger, toe.’) We still use our hands for practically *everything.* When voice-controlled technology becomes as prevalent as they say it’s going to, we’ll still be here getting our hands dirty, finding #glory in the smallest of details. The creative process needs touch—be it fingerpaints, steel strings, or a wireless keyboard.
